Calgary Tower - is almost exactly one mile from us, about a 20 minute walk. From here you can see the mountains and other landmarks. The dining room offers an ever-changing view as it rotates once per hour.
Glenbow Museum - is one of the top three museums in Canada. Plan to spend an afternoon viewing the changing exhibits.
Calgary Science Centre - is just 5 blocks north of us. Great for the kids or adults with an interest in science.
Chinese Cultural Centre - Artisans were imported from China to complete the ornate detailing of this community centre modelled after a temple. Chinatown is only a half hour walk from our place.
Calgary Zoo - The third largest zoo in North America. New exhibits are opening all the time. The zoo is within walking distance but transit is preferable.
Heritage Park Historic Village - A living museum with a working train yard, steam boat and hotel and shops. A full days entertainment. You would need transit or transportation to get to the park from our B&B.
Canada Olympic Park - Take a trip in history when you visit one of the major sites for the 1988 Winter Olympics. The facility is still used for many athletic events to this date. This is the closest ski facility to our bed and breakfast. It would take 15 minutes to drive there.
Banff National Park - Easily the most popular destination of our guests. The park gates are one hour drive from here. Tours are available which would pick you up from our door. We can also arrange discounts on vehicle rental using our corporate status. We do have several Banff passes we can lend out saving you still more money.
Fort Calgary - Where Calgary began. The fort is within walking distance near to the zoo. Visit the restored fort and barracks. Take a wagon ride and visit the interpretative centre.
Calgary Centre for Performing Arts - differing performances keep this downtown hall very busy. The Calgary Philharmonic and ATP are two of the major tenants. The Centre has fort performance spaces and is within walking distance of our B&B.
Uptown 17 - 17th Avenue is Calgary's leading Avenue-Mall. There are restaurants, shops, galleries and pubs for everyone's tastes. The avenue is only 3 block from our home.
Eau Claire Market - One of the nicest spots in the city. It is one of the recommended walks: go north to the river, head along the river parkway to Eau Claire and Prince's Island park. Some of our guests can't get enough of the area and go back day after day.
Eau Claire YMCA - The centrally located Eau Claire YMCA is downtown, in the heart of Calgary’s Eau Claire market district and neighbouring Chinatown. A member based facility, the Eau Claire YMCA is also involved in many partnerships with families, schools, agencies and businesses within the community, ensuring the YMCA principal of equal access to all.
Downtown Calgary - One of the most vibrant downtowns in Canada. Great dining and shopping. Remember - Alberta does not have a provincial sales tax. Goods are less expensive here.
IMAX Theatre - If you've never been: GO! If you have seen an IMAX, check the schedule when you are at Eau Claire. There are always a choice of what shows to see.
Pioneer Acres Museum - Pioneer Acres is a Museum consisting of possibly the largest live exhibition of Antique Farm Machinery in Western Canada. Situated on 50 acres of land one kilometre north of Irricana.
Race City Motorsport Park - Race City Motorsport Park is a fantastic entertainment venue for the whole family! Not only do kids enjoy the races, but they also love our outdoor playground and picnic areas, the food and beverages in the Pit Stop Café, and the gifts and collectibles in Thunder Alley.
Spruce Meadows - Spruce Meadows' four major outdoor tournaments have attracted virtually every Olympic, World, European, and National Show Jumping Champion; but there is more than just athletic excitement and excellence at Spruce Meadows. There is also a quiet side to Spruce Meadows; the peace and tranquility of the country is, for some, even more enjoyable.
Frank Slide Interpretive Centre - Displays throughout the Centre feature the 1903 Frank Slide (rockslide-avalanche), the Canadian Pacific Railway, European settlement, early underground coal mining and community life.
Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump - Located 18 km north & west of Fort Macleod, Alberta, Canada at a place where the foothills of the Rocky Mountains meet the great plains, one of the world's oldest, largest and best preserved buffalo jump is known to exist. Head-Smashed-In has been used continuously by aboriginal peoples of the plains for more than 5,500 years.
Bar U Ranch - Bar U Ranch National Historic Site is nestled in the southern Alberta foothills with the majestic Rockies as the backdrop. Bar U Ranch N.H.S. has a vision to commemorate the evolution of the Canadian ranching industry and the contribution of the industry to the development of Canada.
Millennium Park - is the newest park in Calgary's downtown just four block to the north of us. It is not just a skate park but an outdoor theatre.
